Briox Software Ltd (we) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our terms of use and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide us with, will be processed by us. Parties and responsibilities for processing your personal data
For the purpose of the Data Protection Act 2018 (the Act), the data controller is Briox Software Ltd of 207 Regent Street, London, W1 B3HH, United Kingdom, and provides an online accounting software, furthermore “Service”.

Briox collects your personal data
The Service involves storage of Data about a company or individual. The Data can include “Personal Information”, which is information about an identifiable individual, and may include information such as the individual’s name, telephone number, email address, bank account details, taxation details, accounting and financial information.

Data we may collect from you
We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms and using our services on (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our site, subscribing to our service, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own billing purposes or otherwise and the resources that you access.
  • Information that you provide by completing a job application for us.

You can always choose not to provide Your personal information to Briox, but it may mean that we are unable to provide You with the Service.

Why do we collect your personal data
Briox collects personal data about you as a user and customer in order to provide the Service, fulfill commitments towards you according to the terms of use, to provide you with the best possible experience of both the Service and our website. It is also needed in order for us to identify you, administer your account, for statistical purpose, and for direct marketing (which you can unregister from). Personal data that is collected when ordering the Service, is needed in order to process the order, invoice and send out your login credentials to you. All users personal data is needed in order to grant you access to the Service, for you to use the Service, to create an activity log of preformed actions in the Service, to identify you and to identify which users and customers are using the Service. When using Briox Scanner App, you approve Briox to access your mobile camera and photo gallery in order for you to upload photos to the Service. When you contact us via any of Briox’ communication channels, information about you is used in order to handle the matter, to contact you and to contribute to improve our Service by saving the case for recurring questions.

Where we store your personal data
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using secure sockets layer (SSL) protocol. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Disclosure of your information
In the usage of some of the programs or functions within the program, we may share personal data to third parties to Briox, both inside and outside EU/EES.

The third party has corresponding obligations regarding processing of personal data that you as a customer have agreed with us, which is stipulated in the Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Your data as a customer may be collected with a third party registry to collect more information about you as a customer. We may need to share your personal data with other companies with the Briox group, in order for us to provide the Service, and to fulfill our commitments to you. If you chose to activate an integration to an account in Briox, we will share the personal data as requested by the integrating party, which then happens at your request.

For how long do we store your personal data?
Briox will store personal data about you as a customer as long as there is a customer relationship or is necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy.  Upon termination of the agreement, Briox will delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period of notice, unless any other domestic, or European law, court or authority says otherwise. Your information can be saved based on weighing of interests if there are security- or economic  reasons. How long your personal information as user is stored, varies depending on the purpose of collection. Information in the Service an be deleted by you or system administrator, but in cases where there is not technical function for deletion, your system administrator needs to contact us. Information collected when you contact us is stored as long as you are a customer of ours to fulfill our commitment.

What rights do you have?
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing at any time by contacting us at

You as registered at Briox have several rights that you should know about.  You are entitled to upon request, obtain a copy of your personal data, as well as other supplementary information stored about you. You are also in some cases entitled to data portability on your personal data. You have the right to, without any delay, obtain rectification on inaccurate personal data concerning you. You have the right to be forgotten, but erasure of personal data cannot be done if required to fulfill the agreement, or if any other domestic, or European law, court or authority says otherwise, based on weighing of interests. Should you think there are no legitimate interests or weighing of interests is incorrect, you may object to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to our privacy policy
Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
